Ryanne Ziemba, M.A., CCC-SLP

Hi, I’m Ryanne, founder of Upword Speech Therapy and a pediatric speech-language pathologist on Oʻahu. This practice reflects the relationships, clinical experience, and family-centered values I’ve developed over more than 12 years supporting children across healthcare, educational, and private practice settings.
At the core of my work is a simple belief: children make the strongest progress when they feel connected, understood, and encouraged by the people around them.
I hold my Certificate of Clinical Competence through the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and am licensed in both Hawaiʻi and California. Before settling in Kailua, I worked with children and families across the East and West Coasts — experiences that strengthened my commitment to thoughtful, relationship-centered care.
Originally from Michigan, I earned my B.A. from Michigan State University and my M.A. from Wayne State University. Outside of therapy, I enjoy hiking, reading, baking, and spending time with family and friends.
Building Upword Speech Therapy has been the most meaningful part of my professional journey. It’s a privilege to support children and partner with families through every stage of communication development.
